Despite being in Cabo San Lucas many times before, we did fall victim to not only being charged more than agreed upon, but were charged twice by the same merchant! Unfortunately, this is not uncommon, some vendors in Cabo San Lucas have been known to skim credit cards, charge more than what was agreed upon, or charge duplicate amounts. This is particularly problematic at outdoor markets or smaller establishments.
Pro Tip: Use cash when possible with these smaller vendors. If you do use a credit card, ALWAYS get a receipt, monitor your accounts carefully, and be sure to use a card with fraud protection.
